Visits to our home town in Lodi, California have always included a trip or two to the local wineries.  There were a few little known wineries here in Nebraska, but wineries have been popping up all up and down the Missouri River.  Most of them have scheduled entertainment and draw quite a crowd for weekend events.  They are mostly small and visits usually include a glass of wine with the owners.  Don't look for great red wines -- can't grow those kind of grapes out here, but light whites are great tasting on hot Summer days.
