Merry Christmas to Everyone,
Yet another year -- how fast they fly by. The grandkids, once again, headline our picture. Zac is driving and a varsity hockey star (as a sophomore) and still gets good grades; Lainey started kindergarten, and loves it; The triplets (Paige, Brenden, and Kylan) are 2 1/2, and have a home curriculum (Carisa the teacher) that is quite amazing; Owen clocks in at 1 1/2 -- the Energizer Bunny incarnate.
The kids are doing fine. Matt and Carisa have done a lot to their house to get it ready to sell in a couple of years -- quickly running out of room. Matt sold his import business, but is looking at another venture for a side business. Adam and Mary are doing the balancing act between work, home, and kids activities. Adam is working nights, for now, as a Sarpy County deputy sheriff. The hours (12 hour shifts) seem to work well for them (good for a little golf outing with dad a few time in the summer).
Jenna still works part time at T. J. Maxx, and part time helping with the triplets. Our goal is to get her to work part time cleaning her room :)
Wendy and I live for opportunities to be with our kids and grandkids. We still try to get together on Sunday for dinner, and have many opportunities to be with them during the week -- quite a blessing.
We celebrated our 40th with our annual trek to California in October. This year we headed up in the direction of Tahoe, and a much anticipated drive over Ebbetts Pass. Snow kept us on this side of the mountain, so we regrouped and did a quick trip to Monterey and San Francisco…and a couple of side excursions to the newly discovered Shenandoah Valley for some wine tasting. See the web site listed on back for pictures.
As always, please stop by for a visit, if you find yourself near the Omaha vacation destination. Have a wonder Christmas, and a great New Year.
Steve, Wendy, and Jenna
