Merry Christmas to Everyone,

Not to disappoint, but it's time to remind everyone what we look like -- you'll need to dig into the website (see back of card) to see the grandkids this year. The picture is from our November trip to Disneyworld with Jenna. We were in Epcot, and found out that we caught the last few days of their wine and food festival. This prompted a Christmas toast.

We also had our annual trip to California. This time we drove with Jenna back to the Monterey area, and spent a day at the aquarium. We missed yet another trip to the mountains because of weather. That did give us a little more time in Lodi for some golf, wine tasting, and visits with the family.

Before the trip I had been in communication with a couple of college friends. We had not seen my roommate, Wally, and his wife for about 30 years, and had not seen Brad since the day I left Chico, and we had never met his wife. We all had a nice reunion at Wally's house in Point Richmond. He has a beautiful place on S.F. Bay hidden in a quiet community that is isolated from the commotion of the Bay Area. We had a nice dinner at a quaint restaurant in Point Richmond, and spent hours sharing memories from our younger years in Chico.

We still have another week planned in early spring either to the East Coast or somewhere along the gulf coast. March brings the start to the end of winter in Nebraska, but a trip to a sunny location will help blow away the winter blues.

I'm still working, but I'm in the "window". Plans are to work a couple more years, but who knows...

We see the kids quite a bit, and enjoy dinner with them almost every Sunday. Adam has a couple of years under his belt as a Sarpy County deputy, and still works nights -- that seem to work best for them until Owen starts school (Lainey is six and in the first grade this year -- Owen is two). Mary is still with Mutual of Omaha, but has changed divisions (new language – better chance for promotion).

Matt has started up a software company, and the success has Matt and Carisa looking for a bigger house to raise the triplets (now 3 1/2). Our oldest grandson, Zac, is driving and a junior in high school. He is still very active in hockey – scholarship?

Jenna enjoys her work hours at TJ Maxx, and nanny time with her five nieces and nephews. She enjoyed our little get-a ways, especially the trip to Disneyworld in November (see the pictures on the website).

As always, please stop by for a visit, if you find yourself near the Omaha vacation destination.  Have a wonder Christmas, and a great New Year.

Steve, Wendy, and Jenna
